On Thursday, July 24, we were honored to receive the official visit of the Senior Executive Director of the World Bank, Mr. Axel van Trotsenburg, responsible for the Bank’s Development and Partnership Policy.
The delegation was received by our Group CEO, Nelson Cart, who led the visit to the Industrial Complex, accompanied by the CEO of Cart Indústria, Décio Catarro, the CEO of Cart Agri, David Maciel and other members of the Administration.
Also part of the World Bank delegation were Mr. Albert Zeufack, World Bank Director for Angola, Burundi and Sao Tome and Principe, the Regional Vice President for East Africa, Mr. Ndiame Diop, as well as other senior executives.
The visit aimed to strengthen the World Bank’s partnership with the Republic of Angola and to promote dialogue and cooperation with relevant actors in the private sector, with emphasis on companies that actively contribute to the economic and social development of our country.
The presence of this high-level delegation in our Industrial Complex is a recognition of the strategic importance of the Cart Group in the transformation of the agro-industrial value chain in the country, as well as the relevant role in promoting food security and national economic sustainability.
