Humble Roots and Early Challenges
In 2006, driven by the search for diversification, we gave life to Bem Barato, an initiative aimed at the sale of basic food basket products in Angola. However, the constantly changing market, the entry of new competitors with more robust structures and financial difficulties imposed obstacles on the company. After six months of operation, the original Bem Barato closed its activities.
In 2015, Bem Barato resurfaced with renewed strength, after learning from past experiences. Since then, it has followed a path of continuous growth that has consolidated it as one of the main players in the food sector in Angola. Today, Bem Barato has 48 stores spread across the country, positioning itself among the five largest food distributors that practice affordable prices that fit the pocket of the Angolan people, combined with high quality products that guarantee customer satisfaction.
Retail stores
In order to be closer to the end consumer, Bem Barato decided to convert its wholesale stores into retail and cash and carry stores. Thus, on August 24, 2023, Bem Barato Eskebra was born. Inspired by the hard discount concept, Bem Barato Eskebra partners with Angolan farmers, producers and distributors to offer its customers fresh products of 100% national origin at unbeatable prices and with quality.
Currently, the chain has 10 units in Luanda and Benguela, has generated over 350 direct jobs and foresees, in the next five years, the opening of a total of 250 retail and cash and carry stores throughout the national territory, serving the end consumer directly.

Catering represents the beginning of our history and is the area that most reflects the essence of the Cart Group. What started as a small kitchen in 1993, has grown into two ultra-modern, industrial-scale kitchens in the cities of Benguela and Lobito. Today, these kitchens provide about 600,000 ready-to-eat meals per month for employees of large companies across the country.
Currently, the construction of a third industrial kitchen is underway in Luanda, with completion expected in 2026. This new facility will have the capacity to produce more than 18,000 meals per day and is an important step that will allow us to more efficiently meet the needs of our customers in the future.
Our Catering services go far beyond the preparation and delivery of meals. We also offer laundry, sanitation and transportation of packed meals daily for our guests. All our services are provided with a high level of professionalism and technical competence, promoting a culture totally focused on customer satisfaction.

Logistics
Storage Area
In 2009, we started the logistics operation with the firm purpose of ensuring that all our products were delivered to customers with the highest quality standards. This integrated service is designed to enable effective management of the entire logistics process, from purchase and storage to the various stages of transport.
An important milestone was the construction of the largest Logistics Distribution Center in the south-central region of Angola, located in Catumbela, Benguela province. In addition to this, we currently have two more distribution centers, the first being located in Lobito, also in the province of Benguela, and the second in the Special Economic Zone, in the province of Luanda. Together, the 3 centers make up a covered area of 5.5 thousand square meters with the capacity to supply the entire country and serve as a fundamental pillar for the implementation and development strategy of our supply network.
In addition, the creation of our own workshop for fleet maintenance and the constant monitoring of the activities of suppliers and partners reinforce our commitment to excellence in logistics.

We have several own brands such as Tio Lucas, GIRA, Kipão, Kitandeira and others, all quality national products sold at a fair price. We aim to grow in a sustainable way, supporting the development of Angola and the Angolan people, assuming leadership positions in the market where we operate.
Through our distribution channels, we make Cart Indústria’s products accessible to all homes in the country. Through a wide distribution network, we efficiently connect with merchants, driving the development of the Angolan economy.
