Nelson Cart at the Elysee Palace and represents Angola in the Africa-France Impact Coalition
The Executive President of Grupo Cart was the only Angolan businessman at the dinner hosted by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, who consecrated AFIC as a permanent investment structure between Africa and France.
The Executive President of the Cart Group, Nelson Cart, participated on Sunday, October 4, in the dinner hosted by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, at the Elysee Palace in Paris, to the members of the Africa-France Impact Coalition (AFIC). Nelson Cart is the only representative of Angola among the more than 40 African and French businessmen who are part of the platform.
The meeting marked the passage of AFIC to a permanent structure. Launched in May at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, the coalition today brings together a portfolio of 30 projects, valued at 23 billion euros, in the fields of energy, agriculture, blue economy, digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
The dinner was attended by the President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, who spoke after the host. Chaired by Nigerian businessman Tony Elumelu, AFIC focuses on private investment, job creation and opportunities for young African entrepreneurs.

The presence at the Elysée continues a path built throughout 2026. In March, Nelson Cart participated, at the same Elysee Palace, in a preparatory meeting for the Africa Forward Summit, where he presented the program to promote family farming developed by the Group.
In May, in Nairobi, he was one of the speakers personally invited by President Macron, with a speech on food security and business. He then joined the Angolan representation at the summit, alongside the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano.
With the integration into AFIC, Angola now has direct representation in a business space dedicated to accompanying large-scale investments and bringing together African and French companies and investors.
For the Cart Group, the participation coincides with a phase of expansion and commitment to the integration of national value chains: from agricultural production to industrial transformation and distribution. It is this experience, with family farming and food security at the center, that the Group leads to the dialogue between the two continents.
