As part of the celebrations of International Workers’ Day, marked on May 1st, the Carrinho Group, in collaboration with the Kubango Delta Group and in partnership with the non-profit association LCL (Lobito Cidade Limpa + Verde), promoted a tree planting action in the vicinity of LCL – Oficina do Cumango.
The initiative, organized by the Administrative Department, had the active participation of several associates from various business units of the Group and marked the official start of the Tree Planting Campaign, launched with the purpose of reinforcing the institutional commitment to environmental sustainability and the promotion of responsible practices towards the environment.
During the activity, trees of the Acacia, Tabebuia and Mango species were planted, selected for their ecological value and adaptability to the local soil and climate. This symbolic and participatory action aims to contribute to the preservation of ecosystems, as well as to the strengthening of internal environmental awareness.
The Tree Planting Campaign will take place throughout the year, with the forecast of planting 2,000 trees in different units of the Carrinho Group and the Kubango Delta Group, on commemorative dates linked to the environment and citizenship.
With this initiative, the Group reaffirms its social and environmental responsibility, promoting the integration of employees in actions aimed at caring, regenerating and protecting the environment.
