In an exclusive interview with Times Brasil, CNBC, conducted by Allan Ravagnani, Nelson Cart launched a challenge to the Brazilian scientific and business community: Assume the role of great promoter of agricultural development in Africa, with Embrapa as the protagonist of this partnership.
The visit to Brasilia included meetings with the Minister of Agriculture André de Paula, Senator Kátia Abreu and the Secretary of Commerce Luis Rua, reinforcing the Group’s international recognition.
Nelson Cart proposed that Embrapa expand its operations in Angola and Mozambique, with the Group willing to financially support this entry through its Foundation.
“Africa needs more knowledge. Knowledge is determinant, not capital” and in tropical agribusiness, “it is Brazil and no one else.”
